This is basically a light panel, capitalizing on the translucency of beads, which are nothing but tiny pieces of stained glass. Two layers of glass 1/4 inch apart contain thousands of beads, sandwiched  much like a sand painting or an ant farm.  The impact is dramatically different depending on whether the backlight is off, so that the hundreds of colors are reflected, or when the backlight is on and light is glowing through the beads from behind. This technique shows lots of promise in a wide range of scales and perhaps combined with other media.  I'm certainly open to suggestion here.
